Getting to Know Your Serger, Beginner Level - Saturday, June 6th 10:30-3:30

Sale price$65.00

Working with your serger can seem daunting.  How do you thread it? How many threads should I use for what jobs? How do I serge “in the round”? How do I do a rolled hem? So many questions... not to mention the ones you don't even know to ask!

Participants should bring their serger (all brands are welcome), with at 4 different coloured spools of thread (suggest: red, blue, yellow, green - it doesn’t have to be serger thread, regular sewing thread spools will work fine!) The first task will be to make sure you know how to change/position the needles and to thread it. You’ll be doing test runs so you have a sampler of the various stitches you try out. Also bring a permanent marker, and a big enough piece of fabric to create a sampler for yourself.

Novice: Brand new to sewing, maybe you’ve threaded your machine, maybe you haven’t - that’s ok! We’re here to help set you up with the basics

A class supply list will be sent out after registering for the class.
